May 28, 2010 Captain Bob of the Sunbeam Fleet reports excellent bass fishing during the week on all boats. Nice fish to 38" were caught. Unfortunately the weekend was significantly slower due to the Memorial Day boat traffic. Night bass trips started off with a bang Friday night. Captain Dale put his anglers on nice striped bass up to 42". Saturday night was a shade slower but still very nice size fish. The majority of fish were in the 20 lb class. Fluke fishing was hampered by breezy conditions, however, we stopped for bass first and caught our limit quickly. Fluking did show progress but it was tough to hold bottom (due to the wind). We caught fluke up to 24". The charter boats (Grumpa and Sunbeam VI) did very good this week as well. The charter boats caught consistantly all week with two fish close to 20 lbs. So come on out while the bass fishing is hot! Happy 50th Birthday Capt. Bob Wadsworth Call for reservations and info
Hope to see you soon Capt. Bob
